About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality environmental assessments, providing expert advice to clients, and supporting project teams throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental regulations, impact assessment methodologies, and sustainability practices. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that align with client objectives and regulatory requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that promote sustainable development and environmental stewardship. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for environmental consultancy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in environmental impact assessments, regulatory compliance, and sustainability projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international environmental legislation and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as GIS, MS Office Suite, and environmental modeling software.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports, environmental management plans, and permit applications.
  • Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to communicate project findings and address environmental concerns.
  • Provide expert advice on sustainability practices and environmental mitigation measures.
  • Support project teams in developing innovative solutions to minimize environmental impacts.
  • Monitor and evaluate environmental performance during project implementation, ensuring adherence to environmental commitments.
  • Stay updated with evolving environmental legislation, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Assist in business development activities, including preparing proposals and participating in client meetings.
