Senior Frontend Developer

My client is a financial technology organisation looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with strong full stack capability (C# and/or Node.js) to join a growing back office, post trade team.

This company is fast growing with tons of opportunities to keep improving the coding standards and practices. As such, it is a high impact role looking for ambitious individuals who want to actually be involved in the decision making process and being vocal to implement changes across the business.

This is a particularly interesting role for someone who wants to be at the intersection of modern frontend engineering, AI assisted development and highly regulated technology.

You’ll be building secure, responsive and scalable web applications using modern engineering practices, while helping shape how AI-assisted development is adopted across the SDLC.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This organisation is taking an AI first approach to software engineering, so they’re particularly interested in developers who have genuinely experimented with AI assisted development.

That could include:

  • AI assisted code generation and refactoring
  • Automated test generation
  • Developer productivity tooling
  • Using AI throughout the SDLC
  • Building AI enabled workflows or features into applications

Importantly, this isn't just about using Copilot to write code.

They’re looking for someone who understands how to use AI responsibly in a production engineering environment, with appropriate consideration for quality, security, traceability, auditability and deterministic behaviour.
