About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on environmental compliance, impact assessments, and sustainable development practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental regulations and possess excellent analytical and communication skills. You will work closely with clients across various sectors, including construction, mining, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects, to develop strategies that align with both regulatory standards and best practices. Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in environmental consultancy or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of local and international environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or equivalent are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare detailed reports to support project approval processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, standards, and regulations.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans tailored to client needs and project requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, clients, and community groups, to facilitate project approvals and address environmental concerns.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations to secure new projects and expand client relationships.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental issues, technologies, and regulatory changes to provide expert advice to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that promote sustainability.
