Role: Front end developer (with Java Script and React)
Location: Stevenage, UK
Work mode: 3 days per week work from office

Job Description
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in modern JavaScript, understands the nuances of the React ecosystem, and is committed to delivering exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- UI/UX Implementation: Develop highly responsive web application interfaces using React.js and modern front-end technologies.
- Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services, APIs, and business logic.
- Component Architecture: Design and build modular, reusable UI components and shared libraries for maximum scalability.
- API Integration: Connect front-end interfaces with backend RESTful or GraphQL APIs and handle asynchronous data flows efficiently.
- Performance Optimization: Audit, troubleshoot, and optimize application code to ensure rapid load times and cross-browser compatibility.
- Collaboration: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups.
- Code Quality: Write clean, documented, and well-tested code using modern JavaScript/TypeScript standards and testing tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: [2-5+] years of professional experience in front-end web development.
- Core Languages: Mastery of vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- React Ecosystem: Deep understanding of React.js principles, hooks, lifecycle methods, and popular workflows.
- Version Control: Strong familiarity with Git and collaborative branching workflows.
- Build Tools: Experience using modern front-end development ecosystems (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Babel, NPM, or Yarn).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with TypeScript for type-safe application architecture.
- Familiarity with server-side rendering frameworks like Next.js.
- Knowledge of front-end testing libraries such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
- Basic understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Exposure to cloud ecosystems like GCP, Azure, or CI/CD automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Python or R.
