This role will focus on User Interface implementation.
What this role will do:
- Build and maintain responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React.js, Material UI, HTML, and CSS, ensuring seamless integration of design and functionality.
- Work closely with backend and frontend engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented with precision, maintaining high performance and usability standards.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand complex requirements in the financial and climate risk domains and create intuitive, user-focused designs that address these needs.
- Balance visual appeal with usability by adhering to design principles, ensuring consistency across the platform, and optimizing for performance and responsiveness.
- Continuously refine and improve the user experience by incorporating feedback, staying updated on UX best practices, and iterating on designs to meet evolving user needs.
Skills required:
- Strong proficiency in React.js, along with strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining production-level code.
- Solid experience in UI and visual design for modern web applications.
- Proven hands-on experience in UX design and implementation.
- Proficiency in Figma components, prototyping, and design systems.
- A keen eye for visual hierarchy, accessibility, and responsive design principles.
- Comfort working in agile, cross-functional teams alongside designers, developers, and product managers.
- Proactive stakeholder management and ability to clearly communicate the reasoning of design choices.
- Previous data visualisation designs and data centric UX experience is preferred but not required.
