About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on environmental management, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or related fields, with excellent analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, or a related discipline. A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or similar will be considered an advantage. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consultancy or related fields. Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, impact assessment, and sustainability reporting is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, along with proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Office and environmental modeling applications. A proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are also important.
Responsibilities
- Conducting environmental impact assessments
- Supporting clients in obtaining necessary permits and approvals
- Developing environmental management plans
- Collecting and analyzing environmental data
- Preparing technical reports
- Presenting findings to clients and stakeholders
- Staying updated on relevant environmental legislation
- Ensuring client compliance with local, national, and international regulations
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
- Providing technical guidance
- Contributing to the development of sustainable solutions
- Involvement in environmental audits, risk assessments, and sustainability reporting
