About the Company

We are seeking a Frontend Developer with experience interacting with internally developed APIs and platforms in a mixed cloud (Azure + AWS) environment for a Government agency.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will work across the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. This role requires proficiency in both frontend technologies and UX/UI design principles, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

  • Develop responsive, accessible, and high-quality user interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive user experiences.
  • Develop user experiences backed by internal APIs and search indexes.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software.
  • Maintain and update existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Write technical documentation and assist in defining project requirements.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to streamline deployment processes.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in frontend development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Frontend Developer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Next.js.
  • Familiarity with databases and Search Indexes: Elasticsearch and SQL-like databases.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and deployment strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with PyGeoAPI.
  • Experience with Jira / Confluence.
