We're hiring Front-End Engineers
To build the interfaces investment professionals use to inspect data, work with documents and direct AI agents. The hard part is trust and clarity: users need to be able to check an answer quickly, and they need to follow a long-running workflow while it's still in progress.
You'll join the UK core team and work in React, React Native and TypeScript. This role is part of a nine-person engineering cohort being hired across front-end and back-end.

Descrial is a startup inside a twenty-year-old company.
TresVista has run the analytical work behind private capital since 2006. 2,000 people, 400+ clients including some of the biggest names in the industry, no outside capital and no outside board. That was the first chapter. And we enjoyed getting here!

The role
You report to the Head of Engineering and contribute to a shared component system that can be themed across tenants. Your work combines data-heavy enterprise interfaces with the performance and interaction design that AI-assisted workflows need.
Your remit
The product surfaces
You build advanced forms, analytics dashboards, real-time updates and rich document views in React and React Native with TypeScript. You make dense data usable through grid components such as AG Grid or MUI DataGrid, virtualisation and CSS Grid/Flexbox layouts that hold at scale.
The AI experience
You implement streaming responses, citations, verification affordances and safe failure states. For agent workflows, you make approvals, hand-offs, tool calls and partial progress visible, and let users interrupt or correct a run. You work on perceived performance so model calls taking seconds still feel responsive.

The shared platform
You contribute to the component library and tenant theming, keeping branding, permissions and configuration clean. You integrate backend APIs with authentication, role-based access, tenant context and useful client-side error handling.
The quality bar
You maintain unit, integration and end-to-end tests with Jest, React Testing Library and Cypress or Playwright, and meet WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards. You profile and optimise code splitting, lazy loading, memoisation and bundles through Jenkins and SonarQube pipelines to AWS.
Your experience
You have 5+ years in front-end engineering with deep React and TypeScript experience. React Native experience is valued.
You have shipped data-dense enterprise interfaces and can explain the grids, dashboards and state decisions behind them.
You understand state management, front-end security including XSS, CSRF and CSP, and testing discipline.
You have built SaaS or multi-tenant products and are familiar with Git, CI/CD and cloud deployment.
You use AI coding tools daily, such as Cursor or Claude Code, and have a considered view of where they help.
You have a degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Useful to have, none required
- Interfaces for AI-assisted or agentic products
- Micro-frontends, including Module Federation or comparable approaches
- Contribution to or ownership of a design system
- Financial data visualisation
The reality
This will be difficult.
It demands pace and accuracy. We are building autonomous systems inside high-stakes live businesses, where decisions carry real consequences and impact and waiting for everyone to agree is not always an option. The systems will sometimes get things wrong. In this phase the London team needs to create the evaluations, visibilities and safeguards that catch mistakes early, reducing them over time and stopping the same failures happening again.

Compensation
The all-inclusive package is typically £85,000–£105,000 a year, depending on experience.
Practical details
- King's Cross, London. In office (3 to 5 days a week), with colleagues in London and Bengaluru.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
