About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering environmental projects that support our clients' sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental legislation, impact assessment, and project management. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert advice, develop innovative solutions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or higher qualification is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental consultancy or a similar industry. Proven experience in conducting environmental impact assessments, permitting, and compliance audits is essential. Strong knowledge of local and international environmental legislation, standards, and best practices is required. Excellent analytical and report-writing skills, along with proficiency in relevant software tools such as GIS, AutoCAD, or environmental modeling software, are highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate strong project management skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities
As an Environmental Consultant at SLR Consulting, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and executing environmental assessments and audits
- Ensuring projects adhere to regulatory requirements and client specifications
- Preparing detailed reports, proposals, and environmental management plans
- Presenting findings to clients and stakeholders
- Coordinating with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Staying updated on evolving environmental legislation and industry trends to incorporate best practices into your work
- Contributing to business development activities, including preparing bids and proposals for new projects
- Representing SLR Consulting at industry events and conferences
