About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality environmental assessments, reports, and consultancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of environmental legislation, and a passion for sustainable development. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geography, or a related field
  • Master's degree or higher qualification preferred
  • Proven experience in environmental consultancy, impact assessments, or related roles
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting processes, and environmental management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as GIS, MS Office Suite, and environmental modeling software
  • Proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Conducting environmental impact assessments (EIAs)
  • Preparing technical reports
  • Providing strategic advice to clients
  • Involvement in site investigations, data collection, and analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations
  • Assisting in the preparation of permit applications
  • Liaising with regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth project approvals
  • Supporting business development activities by preparing proposals, participating in client meetings, and contributing to the growth of the consultancy
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation and industry best practices
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that align with clients’ sustainability goals
