About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting clients through environmental assessments, impact studies, and regulatory compliance processes. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of projects that promote sustainable development and environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or related fields, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, ranging from site assessments to environmental management plans, and to make a tangible difference in protecting our planet.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in environmental consultancy or a similar role, ideally within a consulting or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to interpret environmental data and prepare detailed assessments and reports.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, regulatory bodies, and team members.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as GIS, MS Office Suite, and environmental modeling tools.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental site assessments, including baseline studies, environmental impact assessments (EIAs), and risk assessments.
- Assist in the preparation of environmental management plans and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to facilitate project progress and compliance.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to support project deliverables.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, technical documents, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in site visits, audits, and stakeholder meetings as required.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental issues, legislation, and industry best practices to continuously enhance service quality.
