Frontend Developer | Manchester (Office-based / Onsite) | Up to £55,000

We're working with a growing, technology-led business looking to bring a Frontend Developer into its expanding engineering team.

This is an opportunity to join a newly formed, cross-functional team where you'll have the chance to influence technical decisions, contribute to best practices and help shape the way the team works as it continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop new features and enhancements for existing web applications.
  • Build and maintain modern, responsive frontend experiences.
  • Write clean, maintainable code supported by unit tests.
  • Apply TDD, BDD and end-to-end testing practices where appropriate.
  • Investigate technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts and wider stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, tools and ways of working.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to a positive engineering culture.

Skills and experience

  • At least 2 years' experience in Frontend Development.
  • Strong experience with modern React development, including Hooks, Context and React Query.
  • Experience integrating with third-party REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Good knowledge of Git and version control.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD and continuous deployment.
  • A strong appreciation for testing, code quality and TDD.
  • Good communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
