About The Role

Minute Media is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of frontend applications that serve millions of users across our digital platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, backend developers, and designers to deliver seamless, high-performance web experiences. Your expertise in JavaScript and React will be instrumental in building scalable, maintainable, and innovative solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior developers, promote best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within the sports publishing sector, influence product direction, and drive technical excellence in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have over six years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong emphasis on JavaScript and React. Proven experience in building and maintaining high-traffic, scalable web applications is essential. You should possess a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks, along with experience working with RESTful APIs and backend integration. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment are critical. A background in sports publishing or digital media is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for innovation, a commitment to best practices, and a desire to mentor and collaborate with others to achieve shared goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of high-quality frontend applications using JavaScript and React.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver engaging and responsive user interfaces.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
  • Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on technical challenges and career development.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile development processes to ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the development process.
  • Contribute to the documentation and technical specifications to facilitate team understanding and project continuity.
  • Support the deployment and troubleshooting of frontend applications in production environments.
