About The Role
Fox Morris Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This hybrid role is based in Exeter, requiring one day per week in the office, with the remainder of the work conducted remotely. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to create responsive, accessible, and high-performance frontend applications. The role involves working with modern technologies including Next.js, React, and TypeScript to deliver seamless user experiences backed by internal APIs within a mixed Azure and AWS cloud environment.
In this position, you will be instrumental in developing, testing, and deploying frontend solutions that meet the highest standards of usability and accessibility. You will participate in code reviews, contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and adopt Agile practices to ensure timely delivery of features. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex projects in a collaborative environment, utilizing your technical expertise to solve challenging problems and improve existing systems.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in frontend development with proven experience in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential, along with familiarity with RESTful APIs and working within cloud environments such as Azure and AWS. Experience with version control systems like Git, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
Candidates should have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive and accessible frontend applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with product teams, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to translate requirements into functional features.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
- Work within a cloud environment, integrating internal APIs and ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices into development processes.
