Location: Newport, Wales (Hybrid – Office presence twice weekly required)

We’re looking for a talented developer with a passion for clean, efficient code and building intuitive, polished interfaces. If you’ve got strong frontend experience, a good eye for UI detail, and an interest in working across the wider stack, you could be the perfect fit.

This role is primarily focused on frontend development, and that’s where we need your strongest skills. However, we're looking for someone who is comfortable working beyond frontend when needed, or keen to develop those skills. You won’t be expected to be a backend expert from day one, but you should have an understanding of how the wider stack fits together, and be willing to contribute to backend development where required.

You must be able to commit to working from our office in Newport, South Wales, every Tuesday and Wednesday. This is non-negotiable.

What you’ll do:

  • Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React 19 and TypeScript.
  • Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, scalable and polished frontend code.
  • Build applications using Vite and React.
  • Implement type-safe application routing using TanStack Router.
  • Manage server state, data fetching and caching using TanStack React Query.
  • Use Zod for validation at application boundaries, including forms and API data.
  • Build and maintain reusable UI components using CSS Modules.
  • Work with RESTful APIs and collaborate closely with backend developers on integration.
  • Build data-rich interfaces and visualisations, including charts, for our dashboards.
  • Build polished interfaces for our customer facing POS style hardware.
  • Write automated tests using tools such as Vitest, React Testing Library and Playwright.
  • Take ownership of frontend components and contribute to wider application architecture.
  • Write clean, maintainable, reusable and well-tested code.
  • Participate in testing and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to backend development when required, working alongside other developers across the stack.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
