We are proud to be supporting a leading accountancy practice in their search for a Financial Reporting Team (FRT) Senior to join their dedicated Accounts service line.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified Senior with strong financial reporting experience who is looking to join a fast-paced and technically demanding environment. Initially, the role will focus on supporting internal Audit teams by delivering high-quality accounts for audit assignments, with exciting future opportunities to work on larger, more complex external assignments and collaborate directly with external auditors.

Role Overview
As an FRT Senior, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of financial reporting matters
- Support and develop junior team members
- Play a key role in maintaining high technical standards and timely delivery across assignments

Responsibilities
Workflow and Technical Delivery
- Deliver high-quality Financial Reporting & Technical (FRT) accounts assignments
- Work closely with Audit teams, partners, and other service lines to ensure timely delivery
- Prepare, review, and delegate assignments in line with budgets and internal standards
- Monitor multiple assignments, deadlines, and stakeholder communication
- Ensure files are review-ready and compliant with internal quality standards
- Research and resolve technical accounting issues, escalating where required

Team Management
- Supervise and support semi-seniors, assistants, and offshore colleagues
- Review junior work and provide coaching and feedback
- Support team development and encourage collaboration across the department
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and audit teams on financial reporting matters
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain high levels of service and technical excellence across assignments
Business Development and Improvement
- Support service line growth through collaboration and cross-selling opportunities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
- Contribute to continuous improvement and technical knowledge-sharing initiatives
Requirements
Skills and Experience Required
- ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally recently qualified
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and accounts preparation
- Experience working on consolidations and larger, more complex financial reporting assignments
- Experience supervising semi-seniors, assistants, or offshore teams
- Strong communication skills with confidence liaising with audit teams, clients, and senior stakeholders
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- A proactive and collaborative approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
- Understanding of internal quality standards and financial reporting processes
