FS International Accounts & Tax Specialist - FTC

Location: London/Hybrid
Contract: 15-month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Salary: Competitive

Gresham Hunt are recruiting on behalf of a well-established finance institution with a global investment portfolio spanning overseas offices and UK holding companies. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, collaborative finance function supporting international operations.

The Role

You'll join a small overseas finance team, taking ownership of bookkeeping, month-end close, reconciliations, and indirect tax compliance across a portfolio of international entities.

  • Real-time bookkeeping and posting of transactions across overseas and UK holding entities
  • Reviewing supplier invoices with a focus on correct tax treatment by jurisdiction
  • Coordinating overseas VAT/WHT return preparation, payment, and filing with local tax authorities
  • Preparing monthly trial balances, reporting packs, and balance sheet reconciliations (bank, intercompany, accruals/prepayments)
  • Calculating and invoicing quarterly advisory fees; managing intercompany recharge invoices
  • Supporting statutory financial statement preparation under IFRS
  • Responding to audit requests and maintaining well-organised financial records
  • Contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Part-qualified/qualified accountant or accounting degree/diploma holder
  • Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting experience
  • Solid understanding of overseas VAT/WHT compliance and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Confident Excel skills for data analysis
  • Experience with smaller or overseas subsidiary entities with manual processes (desirable)
  • Familiarity with major ERP/accounting systems (desirable)
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a varied workload independently
