Transaction Processing Assistant

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hybrid role at either our Nottingham or Guernsey offices.

Are you someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes? At Specsavers, you'll play an important role in helping us deliver accurate and efficient financial processes that support our purpose of changing lives through better sight and hearing. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative finance team where your work will have a direct impact on the accuracy, control, and performance of our business.

As part of the Transaction Processing team, you'll analyse and reconcile high-volume financial data across our store and group structure, helping to ensure transactions are processed accurately and on time. You'll work closely with finance teams, store directors, and cost centre managers to resolve queries, identify risks, and improve processes. You'll also support intercompany recharges, investigate exceptions, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and help maintain strong financial controls as our business continues to evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and reconcile high-volume financial data
  • Ensure transactions are processed accurately and on time

Requirements

  • Good understanding of finance processes and accounting principles
  • Ideally studying towards an AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Highly organised, comfortable working with large volumes of data
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Confidence using Excel
  • Ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proactive, curious, and motivated to find solutions
  • Ensure high standards of accuracy are maintained
