About Bureau Veritas

Bureau Veritas is a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification services, helping clients improve performance, manage risk, and demonstrate compliance across a wide range of industries. Our Certification business delivers independent third-party audits and certification services against internationally recognised management system and food safety standards.

We are currently seeking experienced FSSC Food Safety Auditors to join our growing subcontract auditor network across Australia and New Zealand.

The Opportunity

As a subcontract Food Safety Auditor, you will conduct third-party certification audits for clients operating across the food manufacturing, packaging, storage, distribution, and related food supply chain sectors.

You will work with a diverse portfolio of organisations, assessing compliance against food safety standards while contributing to the integrity and value of accredited certification programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct third-party certification audits in accordance with FSSC 22000 requirements and accreditation rules.
  • Assess conformity against applicable food safety management system standards and sector-specific requirements.
  • Prepare accurate and objective audit reports and findings within required timeframes.
  • Communicate audit outcomes professionally and effectively with clients.
  • Maintain impartiality, integrity, and confidentiality throughout the audit process.
  • Keep current with changes to food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
  • Participate in witness audits, calibration activities, and competency maintenance requirements as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
