Description
Greenergy is a national UK fuel supplier and a leading European manufacturer of waste-based renewables. To deliver fuel to our customers, we have a 24/7 in-house haulage operation made up of over 650 drivers and a fleet of over 250 tankers. Greenergy Flexigrid manages over 500 deliveries per day and operates out of over 20 depots nationwide, making over 182,000 deliveries to 3,100 customers each year.
We’re building a talent pipeline for Fuel Logistics Operator opportunities expected to become available within our Tamworth Operations team.
This is a busy, hands-on role coordinating fuel deliveries and helping to keep our day-to-day operation running smoothly. You’ll work closely with drivers, customers, Transport Managers and third-party hauliers, responding to queries, adjusting delivery schedules and resolving issues as they arise.
We’re looking for organised and adaptable people who can remain calm under pressure, manage several priorities and communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders. Strong customer focus, attention to detail, good UK geographical knowledge and confidence using IT systems are important.
These roles will work a four days on, four days off shift pattern, covering either days from 6am to 6pm or nights from 6pm to 6am.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage delivery schedules so fuel arrives on time
- Talking to drivers and the team to keep everything running smoothly
- Handling any delivery questions or last-minute changes like route swaps or delays
- Ordering fuel and making sure all the details are correct before loading
- Sharing updates with teammates and other departments so everyone’s on the same page
- Supporting customers by answering their questions and sorting out issues
- Jumping into action calmly if there’s an emergency like a spill or unexpected problem
- Taking on any other tasks that help the team and keep operations running smoothly

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What we’re looking for:
- Strong communication skills and confident working with different people
- Good problem-solving abilities and able to stay calm when things get busy
- Experience in logistics, transport, or customer service is helpful but not essential
- Able to multitask and stay organised in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of UK geography to support delivery planning
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel — training provided
