Role Description

The Fuel Operations Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Colnbrook, responsible for safe and efficient fuel handling operations. This role involves:

  • Monitoring fuel systems
  • Performing routine checks on equipment
  • Conducting preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and compliance with operational standards
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
  • Coordinating with supervisors and colleagues to resolve faults
  • Accurately recording operational data, inspections, and maintenance activities

Daily responsibilities also include:

  • Adhering to safety procedures
  • Supporting fuel quality control processes
  • Communicating clearly with internal teams and external partners to maintain smooth, continuous operations

Qualifications

  • Strong Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to interpret technical data, monitor system performance, and support operational decision-making.
  • Effective Communication skills to coordinate with team members, report incidents, and follow clear operational instructions.
  • Foundational knowledge of Electricity for working safely with fuel systems, pumps, and related electrical components.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in fuel operations, energy infrastructure, aviation fuel, or industrial plant operations is an advantage.
  • Strong commitment to safety, adherence to procedures, and ability to work shifts or flexible hours as required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Colnbrook, with reliable attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
