Fulfilment Contract Manager - Sunderland - £55,000 - £60,000 + Package
The role
This Fulfilment Contract Manager opportunity is with a fast-growing logistics business based in Sunderland, taking ownership of a key customer operation within a busy warehouse and fulfilment environment.
The business is looking for a commercially aware, operationally hands-on Fulfilment Contract Manager who can balance customer relationships with the realities of running a high-performing warehouse operation. You'll be responsible for ensuring the contract delivers across service, cost, productivity and people while identifying opportunities to improve and grow the operation.
Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain function, you'll act as the key link between the customer and warehouse operation, with genuine ownership of contract performance.
Key responsibilities
- Taking ownership of a key customer contract across warehousing and fulfilment operations
- Leading day-to-day warehouse performance across inbound, inventory, pick, pack and dispatch
- Managing and developing operational teams to deliver against customer SLAs and KPIs
- Acting as the primary operational contact for the customer and building a strong long-term relationship
- Managing labour, productivity and operational costs to ensure the contract performs commercially
- Driving Continuous Improvement across warehouse processes, accuracy and efficiency
- Monitoring contract performance and producing regular operational and customer reviews
- Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Supporting new initiatives, volume growth and changes to customer requirements
- Maintaining high standards across Health & Safety, compliance and operational governance

Key experience
- Experience as a Fulfilment Contract Manager, Contract Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager or similar senior warehouse leader
- Strong warehouse and fulfilment experience within 3PL, e-commerce, retail or distribution
- Experience managing customer relationships alongside day-to-day operational delivery
- Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, labour planning, productivity and cost management
- Commercially aware with experience managing contract performance and ideally P&L responsibility
- Demonstrable experience delivering Continuous Improvement within warehouse operations
- Experience working within a Logistics distribution and supply chain environment
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with a hands-on operational approach
