About Untamed
At Untamed, we are on a mission to become Europe's leading pet brand, driving innovation in the $57 billion pet food industry's fastest-growing segment: cats. Since our launch seven years ago, we've delivered over 100 million meals to more than 500,000 cats across the UK, proving our product-market fit and scalability.
We make meat-first food using recognisable cuts of whole meat and wild fish, with no grains, added sugar or fillers. Having started as a subscription brand at untamed.com, we're now stocked nationally in Tesco, Sainsbury's, Co-op, Morrisons and Pets at Home, and sell on Amazon. We're a certified B Corp, rated Excellent on Trustpilot with over 11,000 five-star reviews.
About the role
Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, you will own the UK end of our supply chain: our 3PL, goods-in, UK inventory, and getting stock out to retailers, D2C customers and Amazon. It is a hands-on role with real ownership, in a small team going through a year of growth and change.
What you'll own
You own our UK stock from the moment it arrives at our 3PL until it reaches the customer.
3PL and goods-in
- Own the day-to-day relationship with our 3PL: slot bookings, service levels, issues and reviews.
- Lead the monthly 3PL performance review with the Head of Supply Chain.
- Check the 3PL's output plan against forecast demand, and agree a recovery plan when capacity falls short.
- Keep the SLA and action tracker with the 3PL up to date.
- Review and approve all 3PL invoices.
- Reconcile receipts by exception against the PO and packing list, amend POs for over- or under-receipts, and escalate material gaps.
- Raise and close shortfall and damage claims against suppliers, forwarders and the 3PL.
UK inventory
- Own the accuracy of our UK stock at the 3PL, including cycle counts and periodic stock takes.
- Ensure all stock movements (inbound, outbound and returns) are properly logged in the 3PL's WMS.
- Reconcile 3PL stock against our systems, investigate variances and approve adjustments.
- Manage aged and expired stock: review it by batch, agree whether it is used, donated or disposed of, and make sure stock records are adjusted.
- Plan and manage rework, such as relabelling and repacking, with the 3PL.
- Forecast and order packaging, tape and POS materials each month, keeping 40–60 days of cover at the 3PL.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Outbound to customers
- Run outbound for UK retailers and D2C: order validation, despatch instructions to the 3PL, retailer RDC slot booking, transport, ASNs, proof of delivery and OTIF.
- Own the daily outbound forecast and share it with the 3PL.
- Own the CHEP pallet account: orders, invoices and reconciliation.
- Own the returns process for D2C and retail, and analyse return trends to catch quality or shipping issues.
- Handle D2C delivery exceptions.
- Run Amazon operations: shipments into Amazon, delivery issues, and a monthly check of Amazon logistics invoices.
Reporting and compliance
- Produce the weekly KPI pack every Monday: orders shipped, 3PL OTIF, and retail and D2C days on hand.
- Report regularly on warehouse performance, inventory and fulfilment, and suggest improvements.
- Support month-end reporting with UK stock positions, adjustments and write-offs for Finance.
- Compile the packaging data for our EPR declaration.
The year ahead

- Scaling our fulfillment operation. Lead the operational side of changes to our warehousing and fulfilment set-up as we grow, including process mapping and reporting with our partners.
- NetSuite. Be the super-user for receiving and fulfilment, and help design and test the receipt-to-despatch process.
- International expansion. Help set up fulfillment for the new markets.
- Amazon and UK retail growth. Support our growth on Amazon and with UK retailers, including launching new products and onboarding new retailers, from set-up and labelling requirements through to first deliveries.
