Role Description
The Fulfilment & Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end fulfilment process across the business, ensuring customer orders are processed, packed and shipped accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role also leads the day-to-day customer service function, ensuring a high standard of customer support and timely resolution of enquiries.
The Fulfilment & Operations Supervisor supervises the Store Operations Assistant, providing leadership, coaching, and support, while also taking ownership of inventory accuracy through regular stock takes and effective stock control.
Working closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams, this role plays a key part in delivering an excellent customer experience and driving operational efficiency across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Fulfilment & Shipping
- Oversee all outbound shipments across the business.
- Ensure orders are processed, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments with courier and freight providers.
- Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure.
- Resolve shipping delays, delivery issues, and carrier queries.
- Ensure shipping documentation and customs paperwork are completed accurately where required.
- Monitor order backlogs and prioritise fulfilment to meet customer expectations.
Customer Service
- Manage the day-to-day customer service function.
- Ensure customer enquiries are responded to promptly, professionally, and effectively.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints and order issues.
- Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and service processes.
- Monitor customer service performance and implement improvements where required.
Inventory & Stock Control

- Plan and coordinate regular stock takes and cycle counts.
- Ensure inventory records remain accurate and discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Work closely with Purchasing to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Monitor inventory movement and identify opportunities to improve stock control processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the business systems.
Operations
- Maintain efficient day-to-day operational workflows.
- Develop and improve fulfilment procedures and standard operating processes.
- Ensure operational compliance with company policies and health and safety requirements.
- Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements to increase productivity, accuracy, and service levels.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in fulfilment, logistics, or operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience managing customer service activities.
- Experience with inventory control and stock management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using ERP, inventory, or order management systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
