What You'll Do

  • Lead the delivery of the full retail plan across the store, driving commercial, operational, customer, and people performance to deliver against the P&L.
  • Set the strategy and direction for the store, ensuring every colleague understands their role in delivering outstanding results for customers and the business.
  • Own the change agenda, landing transformation initiatives with clarity, urgency, and pace.
  • Build a high-performance culture by coaching managers, growing talent, and creating a store where colleagues can thrive and develop their careers.
  • Use data and insight to unlock opportunities, making fast, confident decisions that drive profit, improve service, maximize availability, and increase efficiency.
  • Champion digital adoption and omnichannel capability, helping teams deliver a seamless customer experience across all channels.
  • Be the voice of your store, representing your people, challenging where needed, and driving action that improves performance and engagement.
  • Create exceptional customer experiences through outstanding service, strong operational standards, excellent product availability, inspiring visual merchandising, and well-led teams.
  • Lead across all areas of the store, balancing the priorities of Food, Fashion, Home & Beauty to deliver a consistently brilliant customer experience.

Who You Are

  • A proven leader of large teams in a fast-paced retail environment, with a sharp focus on delivery, standards, customer experience, and results.
  • Confident leading across all aspects of store performance, including commercial, operations, visual merchandising, food standards, and people leadership, and knowing how to bring them together for maximum impact.
  • A clear and authentic communicator, with the courage to make tough decisions and the ability to bring colleagues with you.
  • Strong in planning, performance management, and resilience. You balance strategic thinking with operational excellence and consistently set clear expectations.
  • Comfortable using digital tools, data, and insight to make better, faster decisions and coaching others to do the same.
  • Skilled in building strong partnerships across your team, peers, and region to share best practice, solve problems, and deliver change.
  • Passionate about creating great places to shop and work, with a genuine commitment to customers, colleagues, and continuous improvement.
