Vertex Associates Partnership Opportunity

Vertex Associates have partnered with a top 100 accountancy practice in London in their search for a Full Stack AI & Automation Solutions Developer. The developer will join the team and take hands-on ownership of building, maintaining, and extending the software solutions that underpin our technology programme. The business has adopted MS 365 Copilot, Claude Cowork, and a broader MS Azure data platform, which require custom development work to integrate properly with their practice management, client relationship, document management, and other solutions on their technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

The core of the role is full stack software development across frontend, backend, APIs, and cloud infrastructure. Alongside that, the developer will be responsible for building the integrations, agents, and automation solutions that connect our AI platforms to the rest of the firm's systems.

  • Design, build, and maintain full stack web applications and internal tools, using the most appropriate language for each task, including Python, TypeScript, C Sharp, and others as the work requires.
  • Build and maintain backend services and application programming interfaces (APIs) that connect our AI models, Microsoft Azure data platform, and core practice and client management systems.
  • Develop frontend components and dashboards using a modern web framework such as React or Angular, contributing to our Power BI (business intelligence) reporting environment.
  • Build custom agents and automated workflows within Microsoft Copilot Studio, including connector configuration to bring practice management, client relationship, and financial data into the Microsoft 365 Copilot environment.
  • Develop custom plugins, skills, and connectors for Claude Cowork that extend its capabilities into the firm's internal systems, enabling staff to automate document processing, reporting, and repetitive knowledge work tasks.
  • Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, document automation tools, and large language model (LLM) integrations that connect AI capabilities to firm data.
  • Contribute to our Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, including data pipelines, storage, and integration layers, maintaining data quality, governance, and security standards.
  • Work with the Chief Technology Officer, Department Heads, and Tech Champions to identify requirements, scope, solutions, and deliver software that solves real business problems.
  • Write clear technical documentation and support handover to the wider team for ongoing maintenance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
