Job Title: Full-Stack / API Integration Developer
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 1-3 months
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Braintree, Essex)
Allocation: 2-3 days per week
Project: BigChange job-management system
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack / API Integration Developer to help progressively develop a private business automation platform that works alongside an existing BigChange job-management system.
Substantial process-mapping and requirements work have already been completed, identifying clear opportunities to reduce repetitive administration across the business. We are seeking a practical developer who can review the existing requirements, validate the technical approach, and progressively turn them into working solutions without an extensive discovery phase.

The immediate priority is establishing a secure REST API integration with BigChange and building a private web platform, internally named "Satellite," to deliver custom automation and tools for staff.
Key Potential Development Areas
- BigChange REST API integration, including secure reading/writing of business data
- Postcode-to-address lookup and streamlined customer/property data entry
- Planning and Building Control workflow automation
- Automatic generation of PDFs, forms, and document packs
- Mapping/site-plan automation utilizing property and survey information
- Development of an online quotation/order workflow to replace existing Word-based processes
- Microsoft 365 and SharePoint integrations where appropriate
- AI / OpenAI integration to optimize administrative tasks
- Multi-department workflow automation spanning sales, planning, and operations

Required Experience & Capabilities
- Proven track record as a Full-Stack and API Integration Developer
- Strong expertise in REST API integration and secure data handling
- Practical experience developing web applications and automation tools for business processes
- Ability to review pre-mapped business requirements and translate them directly into working code
- Familiarity with workflow automation, PDF generation, or third-party platform integrations (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or OpenAI)
