About The Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer specializing in Golang and AWS to join our dynamic remote team, based in the UK. In this role, you will be instrumental in the ongoing development and maintenance of one of our flagship customer-facing platforms, which is utilized by well-known brands across various industries. You will work closely with a small, cross-functional team of developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced backend engineers to take full ownership of their projects, from initial design to deployment and monitoring in production environments.

Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Golang.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining production-grade Go services and APIs.
- Extensive experience working with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Experience with REST API design, security best practices, and handling high load traffic.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Optional but highly advantageous: Frontend experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Go services and RESTful APIs to support business requirements.
- Ensure the health, security, and performance of distributed systems running in AWS cloud environments.
- Implement automated testing, regression tests, and CI/CD pipelines to facilitate smooth and reliable releases.
- Collaborate with product teams, stakeholders, and partners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operation.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices into development processes.
- Contribute to frontend development tasks if applicable, utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks to enhance user interfaces.
