About Lanterna
Lanterna is a legal technology consultancy that helps law firms improve the way they operate through technology, process optimisation, governance, automation, and digital transformation. We work closely with clients to understand their challenges, design practical solutions, and deliver meaningful change.
Due to increasing demand across a number of client engagements, we're looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to work as a contractor to support a range of short-term projects within our portfolio.
This is an opportunity to work on varied and interesting assignments, helping clients solve real business problems through technology. You'll work alongside consultants, clients, and delivery partners to design, build, and deploy solutions ranging from web applications and integrations through to workflow automation, portals, reporting tools, and AI-enabled products.
We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, can operate independently, and is comfortable translating business requirements into practical, high-quality solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
