Full Stack Developer
Movera are looking for a skilled and adaptable Full Stack Developer in our Microsoft- and Azure-centric environment to join our Technology Team on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a hands-on development role focused on modernising and integrating legacy systems with cloud-first, full-stack solutions. You will be responsible for delivering secure, high-performance applications and services, and supporting the full software development lifecycle—from analysis and design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
We expect a mix of technical expertise and architecture-level thinking.
Important Requirement: This is a UK-based remote role. To be considered, you must physically reside in the United Kingdom and hold full, independent right to work in the UK. We are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship or consider candidates based outside the UK.

Core Technical Expectations
Backend Development (C# / .NET)
- Mastery of ASP.NET Core, including minimal APIs and middleware pipelines.
- Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs (using controllers or minimal APIs).
- Comfortable with asynchronous programming, cancellation tokens, background services, and parallelism.
- Experience with Dependency Injection, middleware, and custom service abstractions.
- Skilled at structuring solutions using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or at least modular, testable components.
- Strong debugging and profiling skills.

Azure Cloud Proficiency
- Solid experience deploying and managing:
- Azure Function Apps (timer, HTTP, queue/storage/event triggers).
- App Services and Web Apps.
- API Management.
- Azure Front Door/CDN (optional but helpful).
- Familiar with Storage Accounts, Blob/Table/Queue Storage, Key Vault, App Configuration.
- Familiar with Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs (for scalable event-driven designs).
- Can interpret and design architectures in Azure Architecture Center diagrams.
- Recommend appropriate Azure services based on the problem (e.g., Durable Functions for orchestrations, Logic Apps vs Functions, etc.).
DevOps & CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
- Writes and maintains multi-stage YAML pipelines (build, test, deploy).
- Integrates tests (unit, integration, smoke) into CI/CD.
- Understands ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform for IaC (preferred but optional).
- Ensures deployment slots, release approvals, and feature flags are well utilized.
Frontend
- Strong with modern SPA frameworks like React, Angular, or Blazor.
- Comfortable integrating with APIs, handling authentication, and state management.
- Uses component-based architecture, lazy loading, and follows accessibility/responsiveness best practices.
Database (SQL Server/Azure SQL)
- Skilled in:
- Writing optimized T-SQL, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Designing normalized and/or denormalized schemas depending on use case.
- Managing migrations using EF Core (preferably fluent in
IEntityTypeConfiguration<T>). - Interpreting query execution plans for performance tuning.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in modernising or migrating legacy systems.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or similar.
