We're looking to expand our software development team with a Full Stack Developer who can work across both frontend and backend systems to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful technical projects while working with modern development practices and cloud technologies in a collaborative Manchester-based environment.

About The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Full Stack Developer positions within our growing technology practice. Roles of this type typically involve working with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain full-stack applications, from user-facing interfaces through to backend services and cloud infrastructure. You could be contributing to projects that span multiple technology domains, working with APIs, microservices and distributed systems to solve complex technical challenges.

What You Would Do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Developing and maintaining full-stack applications using technologies such as React,.NET, ASP.NET and Java
  • Building and integrating APIs and microservices within distributed system architectures
  • Working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP to deploy and manage applications
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure automation using Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Writing and optimising SQL queries and managing relational databases
  • Collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Supporting code quality through testing, code review and adherence to development standards

What You Could Bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • Proven experience in full-stack development with demonstrated proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies
  • Strong knowledge of at least one backend framework (such as.NET, ASP.NET, Java with Spring Boot or Python)
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly React
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of API design, microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

Nice-to-have qualifications include AWS Certified Developer – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Meta Full Stack Developer Certificate, experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, and exposure to SAP systems or data pipeline technologies.
