About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a significant UK government programme. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely within a dynamic and secure environment, contributing to the development of technically complex applications that are vital to national interests. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack solutions, ensuring high standards of security, performance, and reliability. This position requires active SC clearance, held by the Home Office or another government body, to ensure compliance with security protocols and confidentiality requirements. The role provides a competitive daily rate of 525 inside IR35, reflecting the level of expertise and responsibility involved.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong portfolio of previous projects
  • Extensive knowledge of Python, with hands-on experience using Flask for backend development
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, particularly with React for building interactive, responsive front-end interfaces
  • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs within full-stack applications
  • Solid understanding of agile development methodologies and practices
  • Active SC clearance, held by the Home Office or another recognized government agency
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable full-stack applications using Python (Flask) and JavaScript (React)
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between front-end and back-end systems
  • Collaborate with project managers, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical and security standards
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold code quality and application performance
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices
  • Ensure all development activities comply with government security protocols and policies
  • Document technical specifications and system configurations for future reference and audits
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into the project
