About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior / Lead Full Stack Developer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications that meet the evolving needs of our clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the strategic direction of our development projects.

The successful candidate will bring a minimum of six years of hands-on development experience, demonstrating proficiency across both front-end and back-end technologies. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions while adhering to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and motivate junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of six years of professional experience in full stack development.
  • Proven experience in mentoring or leading junior development team members for at least 12 months.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end frameworks such as ReactJS and Next.js, with a solid understanding of modern UI principles.
  • Extensive experience with back-end technologies including Node.js and ASP.NET (C#), with knowledge of spatial data handling.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and C#.
  • Experience working with various databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of API development and integration, including RESTful services and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and tools like AWS, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and M365.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK without restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using a full stack approach, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative development environment.
  • Mentor junior engineers, supporting their professional growth and technical skill development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure code quality and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into projects.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and documentation to support efficient project execution.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes to facilitate continuous integration and delivery.
