About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in .NET Core, Azure, and AI to join a dynamic and forward-thinking digital product business. This is a permanent position based in Manchester with a hybrid working model, offering a competitive salary between 55,000 and 65,000 plus bonus, private healthcare, and other benefits. The role involves contributing to the modernization of the company's platform, integrating AI into core development processes, and working within a collaborative, cross-functional product squad. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, particularly with the latest versions of C# and .NET Core. Experience in building REST APIs and backend services is essential, along with a solid understanding of SQL Server and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure. Candidates should be familiar with modern engineering practices such as continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and automated testing. A genuine curiosity about AI, large language models (LLMs), and the future of software development is highly desirable. Experience with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development tools is advantageous. Previous experience working within product-led engineering teams will be beneficial, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced, innovative environments.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing scalable applications and APIs using C# and .NET Core to meet business needs and ensure high performance.
- Creating cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
- Implementing quality engineering principles, including writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, to uphold software standards.
- Collaborating closely with product managers, UX designers, and QA teams within a cross-functional squad to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Exploring and integrating AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering productivity and innovation.
- Assisting in the implementation of agentic workflows that automate repetitive tasks, thereby increasing efficiency.
- Continuously optimizing application performance, scalability, and the overall developer experience through iterative improvements.
