About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer specializing in Golang and AWS to join our dynamic, fully remote team based in the UK. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining one of our flagship customer-facing platforms, which is utilized by well-known brands across various industries. You will work closely with a small, cross-functional team of developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs. This position offers the unique opportunity to take ownership of projects from inception through to deployment, ensuring seamless integration and performance in production environments. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience and operational efficiency of our platform, providing you with the satisfaction of seeing your work used and appreciated by thousands of users daily.

Daily responsibilities include designing and developing robust Go services and APIs, maintaining the health of distributed systems in AWS cloud environments, and creating automated testing frameworks to facilitate smooth releases. Collaboration with product teams and partner-facing personnel will be essential to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. The role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong technical expertise, and are passionate about building scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of professional experience in backend development, with a proven track record of writing production-grade Go code. A solid foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and system design, is essential. Hands-on experience working with distributed systems, REST API development capable of handling substantial load, and deploying applications within AWS cloud infrastructure is required. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and API security best practices is also necessary. Additionally, some frontend experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte is highly advantageous, although the primary focus remains on backend development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Go services and RESTful APIs to support enterprise-level applications.
- Ensure the health, performance, and security of distributed systems hosted on AWS.
- Create and maintain automated tests, regression suites, and deployment pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and delivery.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical discussions to uphold coding standards and best practices.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements proactively.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation to support team growth and project scalability.
- Engage with frontend teams when necessary to ensure seamless integration of backend services with user interfaces.
