Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant – Full stack Developer
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing, developing and documenting RESTful services adhering to architectural standards.
- Responsible for building web applications adhering to UX standards with emphasis on user experience and accessibility standards.
- Participate in backlog grooming with product owners. Participate in sprint planning and provide estimation of the development tasks.
- Partner with Testing team members to remediate defects and deliver quality technology solutions.
- Work closely with agile scrum team and accurately provide development updates. Partner with scrum masters in addressing blockers/impediments to progress.
- Document technical solutions to the complex business requirements and participate in the review of the technical design documents with development leads and architects.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams towards implementing the delivery plans of the projects into higher lifecycle environments and production.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize application performance across the stack (client-side and server-side), addressing bottlenecks, memory leaks, and slow queries.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the codebase.
- Use CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab pipelines and Jenkins for deployment.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage cloud-based applications using platforms like AWS. Leverage cloud-native services for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement security measures across the stack, including input validation, data encryption, secure authentication, and protection against common vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF, SQL injection, OWASP Top 10).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, system architecture, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Creating, updating, and optimizing SQL queries and database objects in Microsoft SQL Server

Working with SSIS packages

Implementing full software development life cycles including requirements of gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support

Working on a global software development team and communicating status and design cross functionally

Web Technologies (React, Typescript, node js, css, Javascript, Bootstrap)

Integrating the REST APIs in the U

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology

A very strong communicator with the ability to interface directly with clients and analysts to ensure technical requirements and delivery align with expectations

A good understanding of Agile/Scrum and ability to deliver solutions under this methodology

At least hands-on web application development utilizing Java for Web Development purposes
-
Hands on experience with strong interest and aptitude for computer application design, development, and maintenance
-
Ability to utilize technology/design to provide business solutions, adapting new technologies based on the project requirements
-
Experience with MVC patterned applications using JavaScript frameworks and working with front end development teams, preferably in React/Typescript
-
Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective technical designs that work well within large-scale, well-structured enterprise environments

Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and document the root cause of issues, and effectively communicate possible resolutions

Effective communication, presentation, and collaboration skills

Skills
- HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript and React.
- Java (17 and above) with frameworks like Spring (version 6+)/Spring Boot (version 3+)
- Exposure to serverless architectures and cloud-native services – AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, ECS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, SQS, SNS, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Good understanding of Web Services security covering OAuth, OIDC, SSO. Preferable experience with Keycloak is a plus.
- Strong understanding of AMQP protocols with preferable experience using RabbitMQ (AMQP).
- Strong experience using continuous integration and build tools preferably GitLab pipelines, Jenkins, Gradle.
- Experience with JavaScript/web application build tools like bower, grunt, NPM and Angular CLI.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Knowledge of security principles and experience implementing secure practices throughout the stack.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with experience collaborating in cross-functional environments.
