About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our client's innovative software engineering team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a next-generation software platform that supports large-scale, mission-critical operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge applications using modern technologies such as .NET, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. Working in a collaborative environment alongside talented professionals, including Software Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, and Subject Matter Experts, you will have the opportunity to influence technical strategies, make architectural decisions, and deliver high-quality solutions that address complex real-world challenges. This position is based in Northamptonshire with a hybrid/remote working arrangement, offering flexibility and a stimulating work environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in full-stack development. Essential qualifications include:

  • A minimum of several years of commercial experience developing with C# and .NET frameworks.
  • Proficiency in building modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • A solid understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, maintainability, and best practices.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including:

  • Designing and developing modern, scalable web applications utilizing C#, .NET, React, and TypeScript.
  • Building robust backend services and RESTful APIs to support application functionalities.
  • Participating in architectural discussions, contributing to technical design, and establishing engineering best practices.
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to quality standards.
  • Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Implementing automated testing and ensuring code quality through rigorous testing processes.
  • Driving process improvements related to development tools, workflows, and deployment pipelines.
  • Working within Agile methodologies to ensure iterative delivery and continuous feedback.
