About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to join our dynamic development team at Solus Accident Repair Centres. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing our next-generation data analysis tools and infrastructure that support our award-winning accident repair network. Reporting directly to the Development Team Manager, you will assist in maintaining and developing our bespoke IT system, Evolve, which is hosted in a cloud environment. Your work will directly contribute to the growth and success of our organization by improving operational efficiencies and technological capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly within the Microsoft stack, and will thrive in an Agile environment. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver innovative solutions that enhance our systems, support business objectives, and improve customer outcomes. Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a solid foundation in software development with relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in developing applications using C#,.NET, Angular, and Entity Framework is essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and experience working within an Agile framework are highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and collaboration are key attributes for this role. Candidates should also demonstrate a good understanding of UI/UX principles and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions.
Responsibilities
As a Software Developer at Solus, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and implementing new products and features from conception to deployment using technologies such as C#,.NET, Angular, Entity Framework, and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality of our in-house software, Evolve.
- Building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure web and mobile applications, APIs, backend services, and databases hosted within Azure.
- Providing technical guidance on system design, UI/UX, and ensuring that solutions meet both business and user requirements.
- Participating actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure continuous improvement and delivery.
- Addressing and removing delivery impediments by working closely with the Product Owner and adhering to policies and guidelines.
- Fostering good working relationships with third-party suppliers and partners to maximize business outcomes.
- Staying abreast of industry trends, attending relevant industry events, and sharing learning to enhance team knowledge and capabilities.
