I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Raises blockers early
- Documents important technical decisions

- Technical architecture

- Technical hiring
- Pilot delivery
- Future engineering team structure

Commitment
Part-time.
We recognise that an equity-only opportunity means candidates are likely to maintain existing employment, consulting or other professional commitments.
We therefore focus on consistent contribution rather than arbitrary working hours.
However, reliability is essential.
If you agree to meetings, development commitments or delivery milestones, we expect them to be treated professionally.
Compensation
Equity only at the current stage.
There is currently no salary or guaranteed cash compensation.
Equity will reflect factors including:
- Experience
- Role
- Responsibility
- Contribution
- Commitment
- Delivery
- Continued involvement
Any equity award will be formally documented and subject to appropriate vesting and founder/shareholder agreements.
The intention is to build long-term value together, not distribute equity simply for joining the project.
Why Join Us?
SIP operates at the intersection of:
- AI
- Software engineering
- Mobile technology
- Security
- RegTech
- Safeguarding
- Risk management
- Enterprise technology
It is an opportunity to help shape a technology company at founding stage and contribute directly to a product intended to address a serious real-world problem.
For the right engineer, this is an opportunity to move beyond being another developer inside somebody else’s roadmap and become one of the people defining the roadmap.
How to Apply
Please apply on LinkedIn with your CV.
Important: this is currently a part-time, equity-only Co-Founder opportunity. Please only apply if you understand and are comfortable with that structure.
