About Procheck Solutions
Procheck Solutions is a specialist software company serving the UK quarrying industry. Our platform manages contractor safety, training, and compliance across high-risk sites - helping ensure people go home safe every day.
We are entering a major growth phase and have launched a new Scotland Technology Hub at Maxim Park - a centre of excellence focused on tight-knit, collaborative engineering to deliver V2 of our legacy application.
This is a rare opportunity to join as a founding engineer, helping shape the architecture, culture, and direction of a new team from day one. AI will sit at the core of both our product and how we build it.
Why This Role Is Different
- High ownership and influence over architecture and technical direction
- Direct collaboration with the Managing Director
- Founding role in a brand-new technology hub
- Direct impact on safety in a high-risk, real-world industry
- Suggestions from all employees are considered valuable
- Culture of individuality: every employee brings their unique skills to the table
The Role
As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a key role in building the next generation of Procheck’s platform, designed to scale across multiple sites, organisations, and users.
You will:
- Rebuild the core platform into a scalable, multi-tenant system supporting large workforces across high-risk environments
- Build a mobile-first inspection platform used directly by operatives on-site
- Develop workflows for contractor safety and access control, including credential verification and permit-to-work systems
- Enable natural language querying of compliance data and learning materials
- Use AI tools actively in development (code generation, testing, documentation, architecture support)
- Contribute to architecture decisions, data modelling, and API design
- Work directly with real users, including site managers, weighbridge operators, and quarry drivers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
