We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer & Development Team Lead with strong hands-on experience in building and maintaining modern web applications.
The ideal candidate will combine strong frontend and backend development skills with technical leadership experience. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute directly to production code while also leading the development team, reviewing technical work, maintaining development standards, supporting architecture decisions, and ensuring reliable delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications across frontend and backend systems.
- Build modern applications using technologies such as TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js/NestJS, relational databases, and APIs.
Frontend Development
- Develop responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications using modern frontend frameworks.
- Build reusable components, integrate APIs, manage application state, and ensure good performance and user experience.
Backend and API Development
- Develop scalable backend services and secure APIs.
- Implement business logic, authentication, authorisation, integrations, background processing, validation, and error handling.
Database Development
- Design and maintain relational databases using technologies such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Work with database modelling, migrations, indexes, transactions, data integrity, and query optimisation.
Development Team Leadership
- Lead and support frontend and backend developers while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.
- Translate business and functional requirements into clear technical tasks and support developers in resolving technical challenges.
- Help ensure development work is delivered consistently and follows agreed technical and coding standards.

Code Review and Development Standards
- Review pull requests for code quality, security, performance, maintainability, and testing.
- Promote good practices around clean code, architecture, documentation, version control, testing, and maintainable software design.
Testing and Quality
- Develop and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Work closely with QA teams to investigate and resolve defects and ensure changes meet agreed requirements before release.
System Design and Performance
- Contribute to scalable and maintainable software architecture.
- Work with technologies and patterns such as caching, queues, asynchronous processing, background jobs, and distributed services where required.
- Identify and resolve application performance issues across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
Security and Access Control
- Follow secure software development practices.
- Implement appropriate authentication, authorisation, role-based access control, data validation, and application security measures.
Team Support and Collaboration
- Mentor developers, provide technical guidance, and encourage knowledge sharing across the development team.
- Work closely with Product, Business Analysis, QA, AI/ML, Security, and other development teams to support technical planning and delivery.
Skills And Qualifications
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of technical leadership or development team leadership experience.
- Strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Strong frontend experience with React, Next.js, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.
- Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
- Experience with ORM technologies such as Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize, or equivalent.
- Experience with Redis, caching, queues, or asynchronous processing.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable application design.
- Experience with authentication, authorisation, RBAC, and application security.
- Experience with automated testing using tools such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Strong experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and version control best practices.
- Good understanding of software performance, security, and maintainability.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to lead developers while remaining actively involved in software development.

Preferred Experience
- Experience with Next.js, NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or enterprise applications.
- Experience with OAuth, JWT, SSO, and enterprise authentication systems.
- Understanding of GDPR, accessibility, and secure software development.
- Experience integrating applications with AI/ML or LLM-based services.
- Familiarity with Python, FastAPI, or related technologies.
- Experience with vector databases, knowledge graphs, or AI application architectures.
- Experience mentoring developers and improving development standards and processes.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
Working Days
- Candidates must be available to work, Monday to Friday on site.
