Full Stack Developer (Node.js) | 3 month contract | up to £550 per day outside IR35 | Remote
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a major digital transformation programme focused on the delivery and launch of a large-scale customer-facing website.
This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment on a business-critical platform, supporting the final stages of delivery, go-live activities, and post-launch enhancements.
The successful candidate will have strong Node.js and Next.js experience, combined with a proven track record delivering customer-facing web solutions using Headless CMS architecture in live production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Next.js and Node.js.
- Design, build and enhance backend services, APIs and integrations.
- Support the delivery and launch of a large-scale customer-facing website.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test and production environments.
- Support deployment, go-live and hypercare activities.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical best practice.
- Ensure applications are secure, performant and maintainable.

Essential Experience
- Commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, Web Developer or Node.js Developer.
- Strong Node.js development experience.
- Experience developing and supporting customer-facing web applications.
- Proven experience working with Headless CMS architecture.
- Experience delivering websites or digital platforms into production environments.
- Experience supporting go-live activities and post-launch hypercare.
- Strong understanding of API-led development and systems integration.
- Experience working with multiple business and technical stakeholders across complex delivery programmes.

What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in developers who have experience delivering business-critical websites using a Headless CMS approach and have been actively involved in production releases, go-live activities and hyper care support.
You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced delivery environment, working closely with stakeholders, and resolving issues quickly to ensure a successful launch and ongoing platform stability.
