AeroCloud: Revolutionizing Airport Operations

AeroCloud is the new-age operating system for airports aiming to grow. Our suite includes Airport Operating Systems (AOS), PPS, and Passenger Flow Management solutions, empowering airports to gain deep insights into the movement of passengers and aircraft around the world.

We achieve this by becoming the airport’s first call for technology. Whether in times of need or growth, we stand alongside our clients, offering support through innovative software that drives their success.

Our Commitment to Excellence

At AeroCloud, being the airport’s first call means exceeding expectations at every customer interaction. This is not just a goal; it’s our standard. We prioritize detail, diligence, and a proactive approach in everything we do. If there’s a task to be completed, we see it through. If a customer needs an answer we don’t yet have, we respond promptly to let them know we’re on it. We believe in keeping our team informed, being transparent, and maintaining accountability at every step.

About The Role

AeroCloud builds the operating systems airports run on. Our products cover Optic (computer vision for passenger flow), AOS (airport operations and flight management), and PPS (passenger processing and boarding).

We're hiring a full stack developer into one of our product teams. If you're a junior developer who's already operating close to this level, apply anyway — we'll assess on evidence, not job title.

The pace here is faster and the structure lighter than most established engineering orgs.

We're agile in practice, not ceremony - progress is what's running in production, not what's moved across a board. Our platform team builds the infrastructure and CI/CD that makes it safe for you to ship, not a gate you wait behind.

Responsibilities

You'll sit inside a cross-functional team and own features end-to-end: design, build, ship, support. Concretely, that means things like:

  • Building and extending React interfaces used daily by airport operations staff
  • Writing TypeScript backend services that talk to MongoDB Atlas and integrate with AWS (ECS, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS)
  • Building event-based, not request-chained — most of our systems are, and that's the default to design for
  • Building things so they're observable from the start, and using the tooling to find the actual cause of a production issue
  • Writing infrastructure as code (AWS CDK) rather than clicking around a console
  • Leaving the codebase and its documentation better than you found it

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is production airport infrastructure — real airports, real passenger flow, running today.

What We’re Looking For

For experienced developers – you can already:

  • Write strong TypeScript across frontend or backend, ideally both
  • Ship production React apps or TypeScript services with minimal hand-holding
  • Think in events by default — you reach for an event-driven design when the problem calls for it
  • Build for observability from the start, and use the tooling to find the actual cause of a production issue
  • Communicate a design decision clearly, in writing or a diagram, without needing to be chased for it
  • Avoid over-engineering — you build what the problem needs, not what's interesting to build

For junior Developers – we’re looking for:

  • A side project you're proud of, whatever it is. We're not interested in candidates coming in cold — show us something you've actually built. If it's live, tell us: that's production, and we want to hear how it's held up
  • Solid TypeScript fundamentals and comfort modifying existing code to a pattern
  • Some hands-on time with React or Node, commercial or otherwise
  • An understanding of what "production-ready" actually means, even if you're still learning to get there unsupervised
  • A habit of debugging methodically rather than guessing, and asking for help before you're stuck for hours
  • A genuine interest in what happens to your code after it ships

We value ownership over ambiguity. You take responsibility for the thing in front of you, not just the ticket. We'd rather you flag a problem early than sit on it hoping it resolves itself.

We're a small team inside a company disrupting a slow-moving industry, so you'll wear more than one hat - that's the trade for real ownership this early in a company's life.

Our Stack

TypeScript (frontend and backend), React, Storybook, MongoDB Atlas, AWS (ECS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, Cognito, Greengrass), AWS CDK. Event-driven by default across the platform. Testing, observability, and CI/CD are built into how we work, not bolted on afterwards

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Best in Class Share Options scheme
  • 25 days PTO + statutory holidays
  • Take your birthday off work on us as well
  • Extensive upskilling and training
  • Digital Nomad Scheme

Our Ethos

AeroCloud recognises Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion at the heart of our business. They represent the mutual trust, respect and understanding we strive for. They are integral to our brand, reputation, success, business sustainability and employee relations impact.
