About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join a product engineering team developing and supporting modern digital services. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work across the full technology stack, contributing to the design, development, testing, and ongoing support of web applications and digital services. You will work within a multidisciplinary product team and collaborate with product managers, business analysts, designers, testers, architects, and operational colleagues to deliver secure, accessible, and maintainable solutions. The role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript, C#,.NET, and Microsoft Azure.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining software across the full application stack, creating secure and responsive user interfaces, developing backend APIs, deploying applications in cloud environments, and ensuring the stability and performance of live services. You will also participate in agile delivery activities, contribute to engineering standards, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity. This position provides a unique chance to work on innovative projects within a collaborative environment that values technical excellence and continuous improvement.

  • At least 3 years of professional experience developing full-stack web applications and deploying software into production environments.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, and Next.js, with a willingness to develop further expertise in Next.js if needed.
  • Solid practical experience with C# and .NET, including object-oriented design principles and web API development.
  • Experience working with relational databases and data access technologies such as Entity Framework Core.
  • Hands-on experience supporting or developing applications within Microsoft Azure, utilizing services like App Service, Functions, and Azure SQL.
  • Good understanding of version control systems like Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, application security, and accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices and delivery methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership from development through to production support.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable qualifications include experience with supporting live services, diagnosing production issues, working in regulated or public-sector environments, Azure monitoring and observability, messaging and API management services, and container-based hosting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions across the full application stack, including front-end components, backend services, APIs, integrations, and data access layers.
  • Create secure, accessible, and responsive user interfaces utilizing TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
  • Develop robust, secure, and maintainable APIs and backend services using C# and .NET technologies.
  • Deploy, operate, and support applications hosted within Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Work with cloud services, databases, source control, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and engineering standards.
  • Participate in peer reviews, contribute to the development of engineering standards, and share best practices with team members.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
  • Utilize monitoring and logging tools to ensure application health, diagnose issues, and support live services effectively.
  • Engage actively in agile delivery activities such as planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify potential delivery risks and technical challenges early, communicating them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, testing, debugging, and documentation workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical colleagues to understand requirements and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and assisting in resolving development and live-service issues promptly.
