About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our expanding UK Digital & Cloud Practice. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on large-scale transformational and migration projects across both public and private sectors. As part of our dynamic team, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining cloud-based software applications that meet high standards of security, scalability, and performance. The position provides a pathway for achieving medium and long-term career goals, with ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures. Experience in developing applications with non-functional requirements (NFR) in mind is essential. Candidates should have a strong background in application and digital services design, along with proficiency in software engineering practices such as code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to SOLID and DRY principles. Hands-on development experience is required in technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, React, and Node. Familiarity with API design, cloud platforms, and emerging AI technologies is highly desirable. Candidates must also be SC Eligible or hold SC Clearance, as the role involves working with government clients.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based software applications aligned with industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership within the team to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.
- Work within agile project management methodologies to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Take technical ownership of products or software solutions, including design, estimation, shaping, and user story creation.
- Document solutions thoroughly, including architecture, configuration, release, and support handover documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, testers, and end users, throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Communicate technical designs clearly and effectively to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to junior team members and the wider community.
- Foster a positive working environment, encouraging collaboration and open communication.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and work within government client requirements, maintaining SC clearance eligibility.
