Full Stack Developer - London - Energy Trading

Role Summary

Aubay UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join a Trading & Supply technology team on a 6 month+ Contract Inside IR35 engagement. The role focuses on designing, developing and delivering scalable, high performance full stack applications, cloud-native services and data-driven solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to technical leadership, architecture decisions, mentoring and the delivery of business critical digital products within a complex enterprise environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 6-10+ years of professional full stack development experience
  • Strong experience with React, Angular or Vue
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Back end development experience with Node.js, .NET, Java or Python
  • Experience building REST APIs and/or GraphQL services
  • Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins
  • Strong problem solving and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • Microservices and event-driven architecture experience
  • Serverless technology exposure
  • OAuth2, SSO and secure coding knowledge
  • Experience mentoring developers
  • DataBricks experience
  • Power BI experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable full stack applications
  • Build APIs, microservices and system integrations
  • Develop responsive and high performing user interfaces
  • Support architecture and technology strategy decisions
  • Create technical designs and solution documentation
  • Implement development standards and reusable components
  • Support CI/CD automation and cloud deployments
  • Monitor, optimise and improve application performance
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and participate in Agile ceremonies
