Type: Full-time or Contract

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About Akvela

Akvela Ltd is a UK-based technology company that builds software for airlines, hotels, councils, travel operators, and enterprises. We ship production-grade platforms, not prototypes. Our team is small, fast, and AI-native. Every developer uses AI tools daily as part of their workflow. We have delivered booking systems, disruption management platforms, security and compliance tools, permit management systems, and operations dashboards. Our clients rely on these systems in production every day.

What you will do

  • Build complete web applications from spec to production deployment
  • Own entire projects or major features independently
  • Ship MVPs in weeks, then iterate based on client feedback
  • Write clean TypeScript across the full stack: React, server actions, database, APIs
  • Use AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as a core part of your workflow
  • Work with project briefs, not Jira tickets. Break down work yourself
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain what you build
  • Collaborate async with a distributed team across time zones

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
