Contract Role: Full Stack Developer (React)

Contract Location: London
Contract Days: 4-5 days onsite each week
Contract Start: Starting ASAP (inside IR35)
Contract Duration: End of 2026

Deloitte are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, experience with cloud platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams while supporting technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Build scalable APIs, microservices, and integrations.
  • Develop high-quality, responsive UI components with an eye for performance and usability.
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Architecture & Design

  • Contribute to application architecture decisions and long-term technology strategy.
  • Create technical designs, sequence diagrams, and solution documentation.
  • Implement coding standards, best practices, and reusable components.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end automation.
  • Work with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP) for application hosting and deployments.
  • Manage application monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with Product Owners, Designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features.
  • Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers as needed.
  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Front-End Technologies:
    • React / Angular / Vue
    • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Back-End Technologies:
    • Node.js /.NET / Java / Python
    • REST APIs, GraphQL
  • Databases:
    • SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
    • NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB)
  • Cloud Services:
    • Hands-on experience with cloud services, ideally Azure or AWS.
  • CI/CD Pipelines:
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Containerization & Orchestration:
    • Docker, Kubernetes (a plus)

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and support technical initiatives.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Significant professional full-stack development experience.
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, or serverless technologies.
  • Exposure to security practices, OAuth2, SSO, and secure coding principles.
  • Prior experience mentoring teams or supporting development streams.
