Rust Specialist

We are looking for a Rust Specialist to join a high-caliber, nimble engineering team rewriting the core components of a global equities execution platform.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite Core Execution Systems: Architect and build core equities execution platform components using allocation-free, close-to-the-metal Rust.
• Optimize Hot-Path Performance: Eliminate tail latency and jitter by leveraging mechanical sympathy, NUMA awareness, and kernel bypass techniques.
• Build Deterministic Replay & Testing: Implement rigorous property-based tests, simulation tools, and deterministic replay to guarantee absolute system reliability.
• Leverage AI-Assisted Workflows: Integrate modern AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate feature development without compromising code quality.
• Drive Technical Benchmarking: Measure latency distributions, analyze histograms, and clearly articulate performance and architectural trade-offs.

Requirements

• Hot-Path Architecture & Design: Architect, build, and optimize high-throughput, low-jitter Rust systems on the critical execution path.
• Low-Level Performance Tuning: Write zero-allocation, contention-aware code while managing CPU caches, memory layouts, and hardware affinity.
• Network & OS Optimization: Leverage kernel bypass, busy-polling I/O, and NUMA-aware memory management to strip latency out of the network path.
• Deterministic Testing & Reliability: Implement property-based testing, deterministic replay, and simulation environments to ensure flawless system reliability.
• AI-Assisted Delivery: Integrate modern AI engineering tooling (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate development workflows without compromising quality.
