About The Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Software Developer to join a dynamic and passionate team dedicated to making a difference through technology. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global charity that partners with veterinary specialists to provide essential care to animals in need. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications that facilitate seamless communication and data sharing among veterinary teams, stakeholders, and end-users. The role is remote-first, enabling you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a diverse, international team. Your work will directly impact animal welfare initiatives worldwide, making this position both professionally rewarding and socially meaningful.

- Proven experience in full stack development roles, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in React, Next.js, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and libraries.
- Solid backend experience with Prisma ORM and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs to support frontend and administrative systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems like Git, and agile development methodologies.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on writing clean, maintainable code.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently within a remote team environment.
- A genuine interest in animal welfare and a desire to contribute to meaningful causes through technology.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Designing and developing scalable backend services utilizing Prisma ORM and SQL to ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
- Building reusable, efficient front-end components using React and Next.js to create engaging and responsive user interfaces.
- Developing robust APIs to facilitate communication between front-end applications and backend systems, supporting both user-facing and administrative functionalities.
- Translating UX/UI wireframes into fully functional, responsive interfaces that provide a seamless user experience across devices.
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define features, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ensuring code quality through thorough testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Maintaining documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture to support ongoing development and maintenance.
- Participating in agile development cycles, sprint planning, and team meetings to ensure timely delivery of features and fixes.
